The work was initially started in October, 2017. The opening of A Grid is February 8th, 2018, which is also a big opening for our work. We completed the last part of the work, which included drawing on the wall and printing on the canvas. This is so far our biggest work.

Breaking the boundary of art and local people with wall drawings and interaction.

1933 is the site of an old abattoir originally built in 1933 and designed by British architect Balfours. It is a prime example of art deco architecture and now hosts a gallery, restaurants, retail as well as design and exhibition spaces.

Everyone here are taking photos or making post as they desire to make themselves part of this amazing architecture. We see their hands holding cameras or posting victory gestures. We want to record this tacit activity

We asked every student to sign on our introduction paper. We don’t need any other redundant words to explain what’s happening. They are the protagonists and the witness.

Tongji Huangpu School of Design and Innovation, the first school in Shanghai featured with its design education, also welcomed its first students on September 1. This school is the a key step for the pioneers to explore the feasibility of extending Design and Innovation thinking to younger students.

NOW 04092017 at Dipoli

Completed in 1966 the distinctive and radical design by architects Reima and Raili Pietilä, Dipoli was the first joint design produced by the Pietiläs. The layout was dynamic and its form language mimicked natural shapes. Dipoli will serve as Aalto University's main building from autumn 2017 onwards. As a building, it represents a new type of multi-purpose design that showcases the University's expertise, activities and people.

This drawing derived from the real scene of dipoli on the 1st floor. We were inspired by the people walking by or sitting for rest. We heard people talking aloud in line at lunch time. We felt silence at late afternoon while people are leaving the building. This place merges the interactions and thoughts sparkle and communication together. We wanted to record it, from our experience, from our hearts.

The drawing derived from a cafeteria crowded with people. Some were loudly expressing their voice, some were just trying to listen patiently. Some talked by opening mouth, some talked by using heart. A man who was listening to others didn’t speak in a physical way. But in his heart there was a strong desire of talking out loud. Drawing is a host of intellectual and emotional connections that infused this event beyond the visible behavior. It is a visual representations of things that we could remember and imagine.
