CONNECTIONS
I see people with different characters and identity still connect with each other, using language, this ancient and divine human wisdom. I wanted to capture this fierce interaction that all of them seemed eager to express themselves. Because we know that nobody is a lonely island. Everybody needs to connect with each other, in an acquiescent way.
Bao Xiying
Drawings by Bao Xiying about experiences in our everyday events and situations. Perceptions of everyday in the form of exhibits of the experience.
Perception; a single unified awareness derived from sensory processes while a stimulus is present.
Our inspiration grows partly from Xiying's design Different Everyday (calendar). Users use pen to connect each dot as every day goes on. At the end of the month, the half-baked picture will be completed. The line stretch out the paper served as hook. Xiying wanted to remind people to cherish every coming day through this design. Images were inspired by the connection of pictures and objects, and the philosophy behind it.

NOW HERE ME project started from observations of everyday captured on notebooks by us. Moments that happen in time, place and with people, NOW HERE ME. Work will take shape as “cavedrawings” like visual representations of particular event IN SITU. Drawings are situated in the original, natural, or existing place or position. We focus on what’s happening and emotions of people that we observe. What matters is not only the content of drawings, but more of the process. The process that everybody is on the spot and participate and witness. We learnt from people that watched us, we learnt from those who appreciate us, those who doubt us, those who invite us.
